I started both, photographing and capturing motion content, when I was twelve.
Even though I've always owned a photo camera, I re-discovered photography with a mirrorless camera.
My first Video Cameras were Sonys (CCD-V 800, VX-1, VX-1000) and today, Sony has come back to me with their fascinating A7-camera series.

Seeing the actual Image before capturing it allows great creative freedom and a different approach to use technology.
It reminds me of using electronic / digital video and cinema cameras / camcorders.
Besides that, Sony is far ahead in the sensor game.
But after all, cameras are just tools.

By physical principle, the human mind works sequentially.
Seeing the photograph before you take it means eliminating at least one feedback loop in our mind when taking a photo. (To contradict this, I work manually 95% of the time.)
This is what makes smart phone cameras that popular.
All smart phone cameras are mirrorless designs.
A change in technology has taken place.

Having been a filmmaker since I was twelve, I've dealt with the flow of time for many years now.
When taking photos, I need to focus on a single point.
When studying the true masters of photography (and outstanding painters), you will see that they are masters of the moment.
Still photography, more than cinematic storytelling, is always about reducing information to one single point.

When it comes to photography, we want to capture singular moments.
Any Moment is singular by thermodynamic principles.
Time is space-point in thermal-geometric phase space.
Being a mean of communication, photography allows our minds to feel we could overcome time.
Time is a beautiful, romantic concept of the human mind to describe the flow of nature.
Nature knows no time.

When taking a close look at the essence of photography, it is interesting to realize how the human mind and our visual perception works.
